What is Debossing?
Debossing creates an indentation in the material, achieving an effect opposite to embossing. The metal die is stamped on to the material to create a depressed area.
Debossing will not leave a mark on the other side of the stock if a thicker paper is used. It can be either standard (no colour foil added) or you can personalise it with a colour foil.
Premade characters
"You can use a wide range of particular characters to do simple words (names, places and dates, for example).
Available Foils
Debossing can also contain a coloured foil. This process is nothing more than applying a thermal transference of the pigment into the material’s surface.
At Koy Lab, we have 14 available colours you can use together with your embossing characters, regardless if these are personalised or predefined.

Custom debossing
Do you want your studio logo debossed in you products? No problem!
You can send us your design and we will make a personalised stamp just por you. It will be available to use in your future orders as well.
Koy Lab will make and store all your customised stamps, for whenever needed!
You can send us your own design file, with the following characteristics:
- - Jpeg files (lines at 100% black), white background;
- - PDF file (lines at 100% black);
- - Vector .ai or .eps (lines at 100% black) with white background;
- - All fonts need to be converted into lines.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Please ensure that the lines have at least 1 mm thickness. This is due to the process’s nature, which may result in unwanted results lines too thin.
