Born in 1985, in Silves, André Boto started his journey in decorative arts before the plunge into the world of photography.
Living in Lisbon, he performs photographic works in creative author projects, decoration, advertising photography, architecture and industrial, being also a teacher at Oficina da Imagem and frequently dynamizes workshops, lectures and public presentations.
In 2010 he became the first portuguese Master Qualified European Photographer and, in the same year, he was considered the European Photographer of the Year by FEP – Federation of European Professional Photographers and is appointed Ambassador of the International Year of Youth, under the seal of United Nations.
He sees photography as a means of communication with the tremendous power of broadcasting ideas. In his line of work, the main goal is the creation of high-impact images that convey his concept and, at the same time, which are appealing to the common onlooker.
